Choosing Google profile management software: useful criteria
Test the tasks, approvals, reports and pricing that matter when choosing a tool to manage your Google Business Profile.

You want a tool that saves time on your Google profile. Some needs are simple: following a few reviews and preparing a post. Others involve several locations, a team and approvals. Start by describing how you work today, then check whether software makes the time-consuming tasks easier.
Start with three practical situations
Write down your three most repeated tasks, such as replying to reviews, updating services or preparing content. For each, record who takes part, what needs approval and what happens if something goes wrong. This short description becomes your trial scenario.
If you manage one profile with little activity, Google's own features may already cover some needs. A subscription makes sense when it adds organisation, monitoring or preparation that you actually use.
Check control over the account and actions
Your business should know who has rights to its profiles. Google provides a primary ownership transfer when responsibility changes. A provider should explain how it accesses the account and what happens after disconnection, without asking you to publish a password or verification code.
Then check approvals: can you edit a draft, reject a proposal and stop a scheduled action? Does the tool distinguish a request sent from content actually visible on Google? These details become essential as soon as automation is involved.
Test a complete journey
Choose a genuine service and prepare its description. Edit a sentence, save, leave the screen and return. Then prepare a response to a fictional review in the demonstration and check that the destination business and final wording remain visible before approval.
For a scheduled post, ask what happens after an edit, pause or loss of access. A trial should not publish to a real establishment without your knowledge. Assess usability in a demonstration, then arrange authorised testing of real writes separately.
Examine reports and pricing
A useful report states its period, available measurements and reading limits. Be wary of an interface turning every missing value into zero or calling every click a new customer. Read our guide to interpreting profile statistics before comparing sales screenshots.
For pricing, check the billing unit: company, establishment or user. Examine allowances, plan changes, cancellation and exports. Also ask whether website creation, message sending and AI features really belong to the offer being presented.
What Optimaps offers today
Optimaps separates two uses. In Optimisation, you complete and manage your profile manually: information, hours, services, photos, posts and review replies. The guided journey offers missing or incomplete items; you review corrections before authorising their free application. Available sections follow the capabilities of your establishment.
In Save time, you prepare regular management: content proposals, scheduling, replies to review, before/after images made from your real photos and a one-page or multi-page local website. Configure a separate subscription for each profile, starting at €9 including tax per month, with options. The features and plans explain allowances and the summary to accept.
For services, AI writing assistance can prepare a description from the title when enabled. Other proposals use known business information; always review facts and commitments. A subscription alone improves neither your Google position nor your score. Confirmed information and observed ongoing care change the score.
Before subscribing, check whether the service is open and read the displayed conditions. A preview or test payment is not a real subscription. Reports are available in the workspace; review-request campaigns and automatic report distribution by email are not included.
